Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy is a type of mental health treatment that aims to improve a person's psychological well-being and overall quality of life. It involves a collaborative relationship between a trained Registered Psychotherapist and the client. Through regular conversations, the therapist helps the client to explore their thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and relationships, in order to gain insight into their underlying issues and find ways to overcome them. Psychotherapy can be used to treat a wide range of mental health conditions, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. The goals of psychotherapy may vary depending on the individual's needs and the therapist's approach, but ultimately, the aim is to help the client to develop better coping strategies, improve their relationships, and achieve greater emotional and psychological well-being.
